Literally our first ever closed back headphone.

This Eclipse was the first I made and has been my workhorse headphone for the last year. I have refurbished this pair with an entirely new finish and replaced the original headband assembly with the new dual spring setup which gives a higher clamping force for better isolation and an improved midrange response.

The Eclipse uses a more complex cup design machined from separate pieces of wood in a two step, two day process, to give a sound that is remarkably close to that of the Venus but with the advantage of the noise rejection (both in and out) that makes a closed back design so appealing. The cup features an inner and outer chamber, with sound absorbent damping in the outer chamber to ensure no stray reflections colour or distort the sound that reaches your ear.

This pair is made from Beech and Walnut as pictured.

Like the Venus it uses pads made from soft sheepskin and memory foam to ensure that, although a touch larger and heavier than our other models, it is never less than exceptionally comfortable even for long periods of listening.
